Voters across the country are heading to the polls today for a slew of key off-cycle races, including governor's races in New Jersey and Virginia and the New York City mayoral election.

Voters in New York and New Jersey are set to decide two major elections Tuesday which could serve as bellwethers for the 2026 midterm elections and provide blueprints across the country for how both parties can find success in the future.

While Tuesday's elections don't involve the presidency or control of Congress, there are plenty of intriguing statewide and local races and ballot measures to watch.
